Each of us is procrastinating, but the causes are different. Someone procrostinate because they are tired, someone has no motivation, someone is depressed, ... To begin with, I will point out some of the causes of procrostination and then the solutions to stop with it. If you find yourself in some of these causes, than keep reading!
1. Perfectionism
Many people when hear this word think of something perfect, something that has no problems or obstacles. That way of thinking leads us to the procrastination. Wondering how?There is no perfection in life. That colleague from college or school that you think is perfect went through everything to achieve what he or she does now. He/she had to learn a lot, try and fail the exams to be the best. A colleague from work was not so easily come to a high position. He also had to finish school, sign up for different competitions, many would be denied. Maybe he was away from his loved, but now he enjoys them with the position he is in.
Therefore, perfectionism does not exist. We are convinced that everything we do has to be perfect, and if that's not why we would work it at all? And this is the worst cause of procrastination.
2. Fear of the unknown
When you travel for the first time to some place you are afraid you will like accommodation, food or anything else. So it is with learning and work. We are afraid that we will be good enough at it, whether we will succeed. And where does that leave us? Procrastination, of course.3. I'll do it later
"I do not feel very well right now, but I'll do it later..." If you do not make up for your obligations now, you will not even be in an hour or five hours. And when are you going to finish?4. We do little tasks because they are easier
If we first end up with less obligations because we think it's easier, we lose more energy, and afterwards we have no power to handle with more difficult and important things.
5. Lack of motivation
Have you ever been in a situation that you do not want to do the least task? This is due to lack of motivation, and lack of motivation is a result of:- energy shortages,
- fatigue,
- stress,
- difficulty in finding new ideas,
- ambiguous goals,
- working in wrong enviroment,
- lack of confidence,
- surrounded by negativity,
- you have not been able to accomplish this task the past time.
6. You often pay attention
We live in a modern world where there are many factors that affect our attention. These are:- e-mail,
- text messages,
- social networks,
- people,
- street noises, etc.
When I told you the causes of pocrastination, it's time to write how to stop it.
1. Motivate yourself
Find some messages, quotes from the books that will motivate you, write them on paper and paste it in front of your work desk or at a nearby place. Each time you lose motivation, read them aloud and continue to work. It sounds funny but is very effective. You act best on your own psyche yourself.2. Make a plan
Make your planner or schedule where you will enter all the important tasks, as well as time for fun, family, friends, exercise and everything else that relaxes you. I recommend to write your monthly tasks and goals, then weekly and daily in a notebook. Keep this notebook on your desk so you can always review or mark the obligations you've completed.
3. Clean your work area
Keep your desk clean and tidy, without junk and unnecessary stuffs. Decorate it with lovely pictures, candles or some little things that makes you happy, so you'll be pushing yourself to work.4. Forget about perfectionism
All you do, do it on the best way you know. That does not mean there will be no mistakes. You have to reconcile the fact that mistakes always occur. "If you do not sin, you will not do anything." - Joseph Conrad5. Do the toughest tasks at the beginning
At the beginning and when you have the most energy, do the toughest tasks first. In this way, you will get rid of the things you are afraid of and which will stops you, so you will get motivation for further work. After that, small tasks will not be a burden for you.6. Keep your attention
When you are learning turn off the router, turn off the phone, close the door, find a quiet place to work. Do not open facebook, instagram or any other social network because you will burden yourself. There is also a chance that you will not even learn anymore because you will be on facebook for a long time. If you are harmed by the outside environment you can buy earplugs and use them while you are studying. If you do not like silence, take the earphones and play classical music. Many people in that way stay focused longer.7. Reward yourself
After each task you finish, do something you like. Eg. When you learn one chapter, eat a row of chocolate or watch TV. You can reward yourself by walking, cycling, coffee. On that way you motivated yourself because in the subconscious you know that when you end up being obliged to get something you like.I hope this post will help you. Da li vam se ikada desilo da imate mnogo obaveza vezanih za školu, fakultet, posao ili nešto drugo, ali ne da vam se obaviti ih? Da za sve nađete izgovor? Ako su odgovori na ova pitanja "Da" onda je ovo post za vas!
Svako od nas odugovlači, ali uzroci su različiti. Neko odugovlači jer je umoran, neko nema motivaciju, neko je depresivan,... Za početak ću navesti neke od uzroka odugovlačenja, a zatim i rješenje. Ako se pronađete u nekom uzroku nastavite čitati!
1. Perfekcionizam
Mnogi kada čuju ovu riječ pomisle na nešto savršeno, nešto gdje nema ni problema ni prepreka. Baš takvo razmišljanje dovodi nas do odugovlačenja. Pitate se kako?U životu ne postoji perfekcionisam. Baš taj kolega sa fakulteta ili škole za kojeg smatraš da je savršen prošao je kroz sve i svašta da bi postigao ono što sada ima. Morao je mnogo učiti, truditi se, padati ispite da bi sada bio najbolji. Kolega sa posla nije tako lako došao do visoke pozicije. I on je morao završiti školu, prijaviti se na različite konkurse, na mnogima biti odbijen. Možda je bio udaljen od svojih voljenih, ali sada uživa sa njima uz poziciju na kojoj se nalazi.
Dakle, perfekcionizam ne postoji. Mi smo uvjereni da sve što radimo mora biti perfektno, a ako nije tako zašto bi uopšte radili? I eto najgoreg uzroku odugovlačenja.
2. Strah od nepoznatog
Kada prvi put putujete na neko mjesto strahujete da li će vam se svidjeti smještaj, hrana ili nešto drugo. Tako je i sa učenjem i poslom. Bojimo se da li ćemo biti dovoljno dobri u tome, da li ćemo uspjeti. I čemu nas to vodi? Odugovlačenju, naravno.3. Uradit ću to poslije
"Sada se ne osjećam najbolje, ipak ću to uraditi poslije..." Ako se sada ne natjeraš da započneš svoje obaveze, nećeš ni za jedan sat, ni za pet sati. A kada ćeš završiti?4. Radimo male zadatke jer su lakši
Ukoliko prvo završamo manje obaveze jer smatramo da su lakše, brže gubimo energiju, te poslije nemamo snage za rješavanje težih i važnijih stvari.5. Nedostatak motivacije
Da li ste ikada bili u situaciji da ne želite obaviti ni najmanju obavezu? Do toga dolazi usljed nedostatka motivacije, a nedostatak motivacije je rezultat:- manjka energije,
- umora,
- stresa,
- poteškoća u pronalaženju novih ideja,
- nejasnih ciljeva,
- rada u pogrešnom okruženju,
- nedostatka samopouzdanja,
- okruženi ste negativnošću,
- niste uspjeli u ovom zadatku prošli put,...
6. Često vam odluta pažnja
Živimo u modernom svijetu gdje postoji mnogo faktora koji utiču na našu pažnju. To su: - e-mail,
- tekstualne poruke,
- društvene mreže,
- ljudi,
- buka sa ulice itd.
Kada sam vam navela uzroke odugovlačenja vrijeme je da napišem i kako da prestanemo sa tim.
1. Motivirajte se
Nađite neke poruke, citate iz knjiga koji vas motivišu te ih napišite na papiriće i zalijepite ispred vašeg radnog stola ili na neko drguo vidno mjesto. Svaki put kada vam opadne motivacija pročitajte ih naglas i nastavite za poslom. To djeluje smiješno, ali je jako učinkovito. Vi sami najbolje djelujete na vlastitu psihu.
2. Napravite plan
Napravite svoj planer ili raspored u koji ćete unijeti sve važne zadatke, kao i vrijeme za zabavu, porodicu, prijatelje, vježbanje i sve ostalo što vas opušta. Najbolje je da u neku svesku napišete svoje mjesečne zadatke i ciljeve, zatim sedmične i dnevne. Neka vam ta sveska bude na stolu kako bi ju uvijek mogli pregledati ili označiti obaveze koje ste završili.3. Očistite svoj radni prostor
Neka vaš sto bude čist i uredan, bez smeća i nepotrebnih stvari. Ukrasite ga dragim slikama, svijećama ili nekim sitnicama koje vas čine sretnim. Na taj način potaknut ćete sami sebe na rad.
4. Zaboravite na perfekcionizam
Sve što radite radite najbolje što znate. To ne znači da neće biti grešaka. Morate se pomiriti da uvijek i u svemu se javljaju greške. "Ako ne griješiš, ništa i ne postižeš." - Joseph Conrad5. Prvo teži zadaci
Na početku i kada ste najodmorniji prvo uradite teže zadatke. Na taj način ćete se prije riješiti zadataka kojih se plašite i koji vas koče, a time ćete i dobiti motivaciju za daljim radom. Nakon toga mali zadaci za vas neće predstavljati nikakvo opterećenje.
6. Zadržite pažnju
Kada učite ugasite ruter, ugasite mobitel, zatvorite vrata, nađite tiho i mirno mjesto za rad. Nemojte ulaziti na facebook, instagram ili neku drugu društvenu mrežu jer ćete na taj način opteretiti sebe. Također postoji šansa da više nećete ni učiti jer ćete dugo listati po facebook-u. Ukoliko vam smeta buka iz vanjske sredine možete kupiti čepiće za uši i koristiti ih dok učite. Ako ipak ne volite tišinu, uzmite slušalice i pustite klasičnu muziku. Mnogi ljudi na taj način duže ostaju fokusirani.7. Nagradite se
Nakon svakog obavljenog zadatka uradite nešto što volite. Npr. kada naučite jedno poglavlje pojedite red čokolade ili gledajte tv. Možete se nagraditi šetnjom, vožnjom na biciklu, kafom. Tako motivišete sami sebe jer u podsvijesti znate da ćete kada završite obavezu dobiti nešto što volite.Nadam se da će vam pomoći ovaj post.
